Former Kano State, Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, has emphasized the significance of the EndBadGovernance protests as a critical message to President Bola Tinubu and his administration.
These Nationwide Protests Signal Urgent Call for Reform, Shekarau Tells Tinubu protests, which spanned from August 1st to 10th, saw Nigerians across various cities demanding substantial economic and political reforms.
Key issues included opposition to the removal of the petrol subsidy and the floating of the naira.
Shekarau, speaking on Channels Television's Sunday Politics, highlighted that the protests were not confined to any single region but were a national outcry.
He stated, "The last protests on the end of bad governance is a clear message. The agitation was not a regional, state affair. It was a national matter."
