Dubai Police conducted a concentrated operation over a 24-hour period, seizing 23 vehicles and 3 motorbikes in the Al
Khawaneej area.
These vehicles had been illegally modified to increase engine speed, resulting in excessive noise and disturbances in residential neighborhoods.
Maj-Gen Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, emphasized the seriousness of these violations, stating, "24 traffic fines were issued against the violators; and the fine for releasing an impounded vehicle can reach up to Dh10,000 each.”
He further warned drivers against reckless modifications that not only cause noise but also pose significant risks to public safety.
The operation highlights the authorities' commitment to maintaining peace and safety within communities. Residents are encouraged to report any disruptive behaviors through the 'Police Eye' or 'We Are All Police' services available on the Dubai Police smart app or by calling 901.
This initiative is part of the broader 'A Safe Road for Everyone' campaign, which promotes responsible driving and road safety.
