The trial of Tigran Gambaryan, a high-ranking executive at Binance, was unexpectedly postponed due to his absence from court, attributed to ill health.
This development has drawn significant attention, given the serious nature of the charges against him, which include alleged money laundering.
The proceedings were initially scheduled to continue on October 11 but were rescheduled for October 18.
However, Gambaryan's nonattendance led to another delay. A correctional officer informed the court that Gambaryan was too sick to appear, a statement corroborated by his superior.
As a result, Justice Emeka Nwite, who is overseeing the case, adjourned the trial to October 25, pending a report on Gambaryan's health status.
This postponement occurred in the presence of legal representatives from all involved parties, who expressed surprise at Gambaryan's absence.
