Dangote To Invest in Angola's Lobito Refinery

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, renowned as Africa's wealthiest individual and the president of Dangote Industries, has embarked on a significant venture in Angola.

On November 27, Dangote visited Angola to formalize his company's investment in the Lobito Refinery, marking a pivotal step in expanding his business empire across the continent.

During his visit, Dangote was warmly received by Angolan President João Lourenço.

The Nigerian tycoon held strategic meetings with key ministerial figures, Sonangol, and the National Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANPG).

These discussions centered around Dangote's plans to engage in the construction of the Lobito Refinery and explore opportunities for acquiring or managing oil blocks and cement factories within Angola.

A crucial aspect of this initiative is the establishment of a subsidiary of Dangote Industries in Angola.

This move shows Dangote's commitment to investing in various sectors within the country. As he expressed during a meeting with Ambassador José Bamóquina Zau, "I appreciate the attention of His Excellency João Lourenço at this moment when Africa must become increasingly united with its people."
