Former Chelsea and England midfielder, Frank Lampard has been appointed as the head coach of Coventry City. This appointment comes after the sacking of Mark Robins earlier this month.
Lampard, who is 46 years old, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Championship club. He will be joined by coaches Joe Edwards and Chris Jones, both of whom he has previously worked with.
Lampard's managerial career includes stints at Chelsea, where he was first a permanent manager and later an interim manager, and Everton. His most recent role was as an interim boss at Chelsea in 2023.
Known for giving consistent senior opportunities to young talents like Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James, and Fikayo Tomori during his time at Chelsea, Lampard now takes on the challenge of leading Coventry City.
