Irish mixed martial artist and businessman, Conor McGregor has been ordered to pay $250,000 (approximately ₦437 million) following a civil case in which he was accused of rape by Nikita Hand. The incident allegedly took place in a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
A civil jury at the High Court in Dublin ruled in favor of Hand, leading to the financial penalty imposed on McGregor. Despite the ruling, McGregor has publicly denied the allegations, describing them as a "full blown lie."
The courtroom was notably tense and crowded as the verdict was delivered, marking a massive moment in the legal proceedings against the MMA star.
