Popular Nigerian content creator Kuye Adegoke, known as Egungun of Lagos, has addressed the public following the leak of a private video that has stirred massive controversy online.
The leaked footage, which shows Egungun exposing himself during a video call with an unidentified woman, has sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms.
In response to the scandal, Egungun appeared unfazed by the backlash. He posted a video on his Instagram account, where he was seen energetically dancing with a woman to the hit song "Gimme Love" by Zlatan and Olamide. This post seemed to brush off the controversy, as he captioned it with, “That’s massive baby, but still give me your love baby.”
The situation escalated when Egungun's wife, Pashotah, revealed that the video was initially intended for her but was mistakenly shared on Snapchat, leading to a blackmail attempt. She took to Instagram to defend their relationship, emphasizing the trust and loyalty they have built over six to eight years.
Pashotah stated, “Hi guys, someone is blackmailing me with my husband’s videos. My name is Pashotah and you all know my husband is, obviously I know so many people have wanted to bring both of us down including guys and girls.”
The incident has elicited mixed reactions from the public. While some social media users have defended Egungun and his wife, others have criticized his actions.
One user questioned, “Why will a man do something bad and his wife will be the one defending him on social media?”
Meanwhile, another opined, “Egungun wife has every right to stick to her man no matter what she sees. It’s her choice.”
Despite the controversy, Egungun remains active on social media, seemingly undeterred by the ongoing discussions surrounding the leaked video.
