American rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband, Offset, once more.
The couple, who have had a tumultuous relationship since their marriage in 2017, are parting ways amidst new cheating allegations against Offset.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, confirmed the news on August 1, 2024.
This marks another chapter in their on-again, off-again relationship that has been closely followed by fans and media alike.
The "Bodak Yellow" artist previously filed for divorce in September 2020 but reconciled with Offset shortly after.
The latest split comes after Cardi B described herself as "single" during an Instagram Live session in December 2023, following persistent rumors of infidelity.
Despite their separation, the duo collaborated professionally, with Offset directing Cardi's music video for "Like What (Freestyle)" in March 2024.
Cardi B and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, share two children together: daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, born in July 2018, and son Wave Set Cephus, born in September 2021.
Cardi also announced on August 1, 2024, that she is expecting their third child, adding another layer of complexity to their relationship dynamics.
Reflecting on their journey, Cardi B shared, “I guess we grew out of love, but we're not together anymore. I don't know. It might take time to get a divorce and I'm gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father.”
Offset, a member of the hip-hop trio Migos, has publicly apologized for his past mistakes, including a heartfelt plea on social media in December 2018.
He acknowledged, “I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy. I was partaking in activity that I shouldn't have been partaking in, and I apologize.”
Despite their efforts to mend their relationship, it appears the couple has reached an impasse.
Cardi B's representative confirmed the divorce filing, stating, “This is not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”
