Atalanta has announced that Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman will not be sold during the upcoming January transfer window.
This confirmation comes directly from Atalanta's director, Tony D’Amico, who emphasized the club's commitment to keeping their squad intact despite significant interest from Premier League giants, Liverpool.
Lookman, who has been instrumental in Atalanta's success this season, has recorded an impressive tally of 11 goals and six assists in just 20 appearances across all competitions.
His outstanding performance has not only caught the attention of top clubs but also earned him and his coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, notable accolades.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, D’Amico stated, "Certainly, the January transfer window is a difficult one for all clubs. If there are any opportunities, we will go for them, but obviously maintaining the full squad that we currently have at our disposal."
