Anambra State Launches ₦2.5 Billion Transformational Investment in Transportation Sector

Anambra State Government in Nigeria announced a transformative investment of ₦2.5 billion aimed at overhauling its transportation sector.

This ambitious initiative is part of the state's 2025 budget and seeks to foster economic growth, alleviate traffic congestion, and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

Ejimofor Opara, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), emphasized the significance of this project, stating, "The government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure is further emphasized by this substantial financial allocation."

The investment will not only focus on traditional road networks but also integrate marine transportation, leveraging Anambra's aquatic resources to unlock new economic opportunities and promote sustainable development.

Governor Soludo's comprehensive development agenda underpins this initiative, which aligns with broader goals of infrastructure enhancement, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and security.
