Amad Diallo's Pledges New Era for Manchester United Amidst Struggles

Manchester United's young forward, Amad Diallo, has emerged as a beacon of hope.

The 22-year-old Ivorian has vowed to "make history" with the club, despite its current struggles in the Premier League.

Under the leadership of new manager Ruben Amorim, who took over from Erik ten Hag, United has faced a turbulent period.

The team has lost five out of ten matches since Amorim's arrival from Sporting Lisbon, leaving them in a precarious 14th position, just eight points above the relegation zone. Recent defeats to Wolves, Bournemouth, and Tottenham have only intensified the pressure on Amorim ahead of their upcoming clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Despite these setbacks, Diallo has been a standout performer. His late winner in the derby against Manchester City is a testament to his potential and determination.

This season, he has contributed two goals and six assists, showcasing his versatility by playing both as a right wing-back and in more attacking roles.

"We are part of the project," Diallo told MUTV. "We have so many young players for this club, especially Garna (Alejandro Garnacho), Kobbie (Mainoo), Joshua (Zirkzee), Rasmus (Hojlund), me. We are young players who want to make history for this club."

Diallo emphasized the importance of learning from seasoned teammates and adapting to the new tactical system introduced by Amorim. "We have now a new manager, he likes to work with young players, and he brings a new system, so we just have to follow it and try to do our best every game," he added.

His commitment to the team is unwavering, as he expressed readiness to play in any position required by the manager. "I just want to play, right wing, number 10, anywhere. I say to the manager if you need me as a ‘keeper I’m ready to do my best, I will fight for the team and for my team-mates. I want to make history for this club.
