African Govt Should Prohibit Kemi Badenoch From Coming To Africa

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has made a bold call to African governments, urging them to prohibit Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the United Kingdom's Conservative Party, from entering the continent.

This comes in response to Badenoch's controversial remarks about Nigeria, which have sparked significant backlash.

During a recent Instagram live session, Kuti expressed his disapproval of Badenoch's comments, which he claims insult both Africans and their ancestors.

"Many have been praising this woman [Kemi Badenoch]; someone who has been insulting us, not only us but our ancestors," Kuti stated.

He further accused Badenoch of suggesting that Africans should compensate Europeans for colonialism, a statement he found deeply offensive. "She’s saying we should pay them for killing millions of our ancestors; for all the atrocities that they committed in our lands," he added.

Badenoch, who has stood by her position despite criticism from figures such as Nigeria's Vice President Kashim Shettima, allegedly described her upbringing in Nigeria as overshadowed by fear and insecurity, labeling the country as corrupt.
