2027 Presidency: We are Not in any Alliance with Tinubu - Labour Party

The Labour Party (LP) of Nigeria has categorically denied any partnership with President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) concerning the upcoming 2027 elections.

Mr. Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary of the LP, addressed these allegations, stating unequivocally, "We are not in partnership with Tinubu or the APC." Under the leadership of Mr. Julius Abure, the Labour Party has maintained its role as a staunch opposition force, actively critiquing government policies while proposing alternative solutions.

The party's initiatives include the establishment of an Electoral Reform Committee and a Political Education Committee, both aimed at enhancing governance and increasing voter awareness.

Additionally, the LP has introduced e-membership registration to encourage broader participatory democracy. Mr. Ifoh challenged anyone with evidence of collaboration between the LP and the ruling party to come forward, reinforcing the party's commitment to its independent stance.
