13 Schools, 14 Supervisors Blacklisted in Kogi By WAEC

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has blacklisted 13 schools and 14 supervisors in Kogi State, due to alleged examination malpractices.

This decision was announced by Hon. Wemi Jones, the Commissioner for Education in Kogi State, during a meeting with the implicated school principals and supervisors.

The Commissioner emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “Any principal, teachers, and supervisors who aid and abet examination malpractices will henceforth be prosecuted in accordance with Kogi State Education Law and Other Matters Connected.

To further address these allegations, a committee led by the Permanent Secretary has been established to thoroughly investigate the individuals involved.

Those found guilty will face prosecution in court. Dr. Jibrin Seidu Alhaji, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, urged educators to maintain ethical standards, warning that actions tarnishing the reputation of Kogi State would not be tolerated.
